Can't find this anywhere????

Does anyone on here know the cubic feet of air space need in a sealed and a ported box for a volfenhag ZX-4712 DVX Competition sub. I can't find this anywhere on the internet and none of the manuals tell me. And what kind of box is better, Sealed Vs. Ported.

I tried to look on the internet for you and couldn't turn up anything but the manufacturer info. You might want to contact them for what your looking for, they should have it pretty handy.

Email: volfenhag@volfenhagaudio.com

Disclaimer: I don't support these speakers or manufacturer. Just passing on info.

I tried to look for specs for you also and came up with nothing...a couple pdf files but nothing on the cubic feet required. I dont know much about these specific subs but every sub has a rated sealed and ported box volume. Well the high end subs i wouldnt even bother trying to put into a sealed box. As for which is better it all depends on your taste. Sealed is quiter but it tighter and sq and accuracy are amazing. Ported is louder (usually much louder to the ear) it has a deeper sloppier hit. Ive owned both and i love ported but right now i have sealed due to lack of space in trunk and i love how accurate it sounds. I mean dont get me wrong im hitting in the 130db range with what i have. Thats pretty loud for a sealed box.
