Brainstorming... tell me what you think
i kno this goes against all things that are chevy but listen to my idea
i was thinking of taking pieces of a mustang mach stereo system and using them in my third gen. The only pieces i was think of using were going to be the window triangle speakers. My friend has a wreck 02 GT Stang, and he is parting it out. I was thinking of removing them from his car and just taking off the mach emblem or coving over it with something and mounting them on my new window triangles. sry i do not kno the correct name for them.
it looks like they will have no problem fitting in the area and wiring will be semi-easy because my door panels are off allready
please tell me what you think.
has anyone ever done this before?

Sounds like it would be nice . If you can , I say hold them up where you are mounting them and snap a couple pics . I am curious to see how that would look. Wiring should be like wiring any other speaker so that should be the easy part.

The Mach 460 stuff is decent, the rear speakers are in an enclosure so I'm not sure if you plan to reuse that. The door speakers are decent and the tweeters in the pods are... ok at best (I change these out for people a lot and go with a basic style tweeter in the pod). Don't forget though that the Mach 460 stuff has it's own amplifier so you can't just throw the drivers on deck power and expect the same results. Really I think you would be better off going with budget aftermarket stuff, but if you're set on using it I think you can get decent results.
