New Delco Installation
Hey everyone, i did some searching for my answers but just wanted to get the opinion from some of you guys that did this. I have a 89 RS with the three plug setup for the radio.
If i get this harness:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWNX:IT
And this stereo:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-02...fAudioQ5fVideo
Will i be set to plug and play?
Thanks, my car when i got it didnt come with a factory stereo or plugs, i picked up some factory plugs and a factory cassette stereo a couple years ago at a swap meet, but now the radio only works when it wants to so i have some quiet rides now a days. So i would like to upgrade to one of these to keep the factory look.
Thanks!

Re: New Delco Installation
you may have to trim the mounting ears on the sides of the deck, and you may have depth issues (vents behind radio would need trimming), but should work otherwise with the adapter you've listed

Got it all installed, it was a peice of cake, i didnt have to do anything, the mounting brackets fit andf lined up, i didnt have to cut vents, Im sort of glad cause i wasnt real thrilled about cutting anything on my car.

Re: New Delco Installation
All the buttons should light up, unless there is an internal problem with the Radio. I work for a salvage yard, and the Delco CD Players are popular sellers from all the GM divisions. I have a post for installing a GM Delco style CD Player, in this forum as well. All of my display buttons on my Pontiac style radio light up just fine. I installed mine and didn't have to cut the wiring at all. I did have to saw the backside of the bezel for clearance.
