Re: Factory radio...amp...subs
There is a line adapter that you can connect to the rear speaker wires and run that to your amp.

Re: Factory radio...amp...subs
The option UQ7 included two subwoofers and an additional amp to power them, so there is no reason you couldn't add one. It includes a separate harness in the dashboard and a specific rear speakers harness.
To bad I don't have pics of the parts but I'm sure a little research would help you.
I'd be curious to know the output of this amp.

Re: Factory radio...amp...subs
These connect to your rear speakers and allow you to run your subwoofers if you run on a factory radio, you should be able to pick them up at any electronics store.. and you can do it yourself its almost like speaker wire.....here is an explanation http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...0064503AAS2IBL

Re: Factory radio...amp...subs
with high level inputs you tap into the speaker wire
for example im useing a high level amp run off both my rear speakers to power a dual channel sub its a sub ment for a home stereo it was free and works just fine
high level inputs convert the signal to line level inside the amp instead of useing converter boxxes
or you can buy line level converter boxxes and run a normal amp
im running a jenson 300w amp off a factory head unit to power a 12 i just wanted a little extra bass
my sub is hidden in the rear comparment cubby the amp is hidden the spare tire well
it took about 2 hours to install
it worked great for me but
i bought one of the 20 dollar amp hook up kits from walmart
amp was garbage picked as was the sub

Re: Factory radio...amp...subs
I (literally) JUST bought one of these to work with a factory radio that I put in my camaro.

Seems to work fairly well, just seems like the subs are alot louder than they were.

Re: Factory radio...amp...subs
Thanks. That is what I want to do Azrael91966669. Add an amp plus subs to the factory unit.
Thanks for the details evilemokid94.
Now I just have to figure where to put the subs in the vert.

Re: Factory radio...amp...subs
Yes sir, I have an old 800watt MTX(??) amp, and 2 12" subs in the trunk.
Its not pretty, the box was actually made for 4th gens, but I cut the lip of the box off, to drop it in the trunk.
