Should I Keep These?

A PO installed a set of Audiobahn AS69Q speakers in my pillars:

These speakers look nice, but I was wondering if they are worth keeping or should I swap them out for a set of Boston Acoustics SR95's? I already replaced the in-dash 4x6's with Boston Acoustics 746's.

Both speakers will be able to stand up to what my amp will deliver, although the Audiobahns look superior on paper. I'm just not 100% sure on the Audiobahn line and looking for the opinion of users.

Also if I keep the Audiobahns, I have a few options. I'm going for a generally mild but well matched setup. The amp I have is a Kenwood KAC-749s and can deliver 40watts continuous x4 @ 4ohms. With the audiobahns I have the option to completely remove the tweeter leaving just the midrange and woofer. Since the in-dash speakers are full range and I plan on putting a tweeter in each door, this may be the ideal setup as more of the power going to the audiobahns will now be routed to the woofer for bass instead of being split between the woofer and tweeter.

I also have the option to drive the in-dash speakers directly off the head unit and use the amp in bridged mode for the Audiobahns. The problem I see with this however is that at high volume levels I noticed the sound quality beings to distort and I get popping noises from the front speakers. Even at a measly 18 watts RMS per channel I think the head unit outdoes itself at high volume levels.

Currently, I do not plan on having a sub with a second amp and want to the most thump out of my speakers as possible.

Re: Should I Keep These?
boston puts out a far more superior quality than audiobahn. i hate to say it (some will dislike me for it), but audiobahn is the APC of the car audio world; chrome and appearance over function and performance.

Re: Should I Keep These?
I just took one of these POS speakers out of my car and wired it to my home A/V receiver. In 4ohm mode, My onkyo is capable of 170 watts peak per channel. I didn't even get the volume up 3/5 of the way and already the speaker was girating and made an awful rattling noise characteristic of a blown woofer. 200 watts RMS my ***. SR95 it is. Thanks Dan.
