As far as what else will fit in the din and a half space in the third gens, Alpine makes a very nice reciever that will go right in there. My brother has one in his 89 RS.
BTW, i noticed on the side bar that you're in Austin. I'm mananger at a car stereo shop just down the way from you in Round Rock. The name of the shop is Detail Pro Audio.Stop by and check it out.I'll show you some of the different recievers that will fit in factory style and I'll work you out a good deal. And my brother that has the Alpine works with me, so you can see the stereo if you'd like.Come in and ask for Jeff K.I have the black '91 RS with the ROH Snypers that will be parked in front of the shop.
Anyways, stop by if you want a deal.
