looking for mid-range

I have 2 MTX 10"s and they give me nice low end bass. but my POS pioneer 6x9's cant take any bass at all or they sound like they're gonna blow. i have them hooked up to a 200 watt Planet Audio amp (is this any good??) and i was just wondering what i could replace the 6x9s with to get some nice mid-rnage

If the amp has a crossover, run it high pass to the 6x9s so that they won't have all of the bass. You have already realized that they are useless when trying to keep up with subs, so by filtering the bass, all that crap will be gone and the power can be used for midrange reproduction. Plus, with the cone not flapping back and forth trying to make bass, it will be able to produce much better midrange.

At what frequency? If the 6x9s are running 100+ or even 80+, there is no way they should be having problems unless you're totally overdriving the **** out of them, in which case dedicated mids aren't going to help.
