does ANYONE have a CLUE!?!?

ive got a problem! for those of you giving me they're opinion on my amp i recently got for free.. you know that i have the stock swivelling berlinetta radio in my '84 camaro berlinetta. ANYWAY.. i need to hook up RCAs to this amp i got for free because theres no d@mn high level inputs that i could just tap into the 6x9s.

-i need to know WHAT THE ADAPTER IS CALLED that i need to be able to hook up RCAs and about how much i should expect to pay

-ALL help is appreciated, thanks!

They make a converter that will make your high inputs into RCA. All that you do is run the wires from your 6 X 9's in to one end of the box and on the other end of the box there are jacks for RCA's. You can order this from crutchfield.com or you can even buy them at Radio Shack. They are called high level input converters. Good Luck

ohhh ok so its not hard to install or anything? cool. plus i dont need real long RCA cables.. i still dont have a clue how much its gonna cost..

does anyone?

It's called a Line Level Converter and it's easy to hook up. The way that I would suggest you do it is to tap off of the front speaker wires right behind the radio. Autoparts stores sell connectors that you squeeze onto the wires without cutting them and allow you to plug a male spade terminal into. Once you did that on all 4 wires, you just hook them to the corresponding wires on the input of the line level converter. Plug the RCAs into the other side and you're ready to roll. The advantage to using the front signal instead of the rear is that no matter how much rear fill you dial in, you'll still have the same bass output. If you wire the bass signal from the rear speakers, tuning becomes a pain in the *** and if you want to dial up a little more rear fill, you've got to go fool with the gain control all over again.
