88-89 Steering Wheel Controlled Radio (UT4) Schematics Anyone?

Got the radio/cassette deck with the steering wheel controls, UT4 I believe, in my 1989 TTA that I need to repair due to a stuck tape (been in there for a long time and in storage but like to sort it out so it works again).

Anyone got the Delco repair manual or can advice on how to take it all apart and what can possibly cause the tape not to eject? Radio part works fine.

What ever you do, DO NOT try to get the cassette out of the radio while it is in the car. You will only scar up the face of the radio. You have to take the radio apart to manually eject the cassette while the radio is powered up and unlocked on the bench. If you take the radio apart, you can unplug the cassette deck to make the radio work normally. I will take some pics as a tutorial as how to do that.

Any tutorial how to go about would be very much appreciated. I can set it all up on the bench to work on it.

Also any ideas of what might be wrong making the tape get stuck like that ?

Appreciate your help.

Jan, I had the same thing happen to me. I had to removed the cassette module. I do have another cassette module if you want to PM me.
