cerwin vega subs

has anyone had experience with these subs? i am most likely going to get 2-12s Vega serries ported in the rear hatch...would this be loud when powered fully?

i really don't like the vega seires. i think they sound like sh*t, if you are gonna get any vega's i would splurge and get the steath seires. they are rated as one of the loudest speakers in the world. you can get a pretty good deal on them on e-bay. thats just what i think.

hey , my friend is an installer at best buy , and I used to work as installer at circuit city before I went back to school , I am sure that most people will agree(knowledgable) that they are nothing special and more money than they are worth.Thats just from what I have heard out of them ,but remember to pick a sub that is made for waht kind of setup you are running , amps , box ,what kind of music you listen to ect...
By the way if you r interested I am selling two polk DB series subs , they are last years models and have all the same spec as the new MOMO series POLKS, they are in my car now but I am building a new setup with INFINITY KAPPA PERFECTS , that I have bought form a friend of mine. I am looking for 300 for the pair , and I am selling a Q-Logic box that fits 88-92 thirdgens,its 300 in CRUTCHFIELD and I want 125 for it.Any question let me know , email me JBlown305tpi@aol.com

I liked the vega series alot, but they require an extremely large box to sound nice.. Building a ported box for the well for 2 of thier 12"s is definitly possible, you just have to get creative.. Also, make SURE you have enough wattage to them. They are a good SQ sub that can achieve decent SPL also but with a poor amp you arn't going to get squat.

Joe: I just put 2 12" perfects in my firebird, powered by a Fosgate 800a2.. THEY POUND!!! Just make sure you have the wattage of course. I had a 360a2 hooked up to them and they sounded like *** .. Damn, i'm pulling a max of 85amps of current from amps alone.. It's probly time for a better charging system..
