DELCO Clock Stays On
In trying to fix up the new ride I noticed a fuse or two blown. I had an issue with the radio not holding a memory or clock set. I put a new fuse in the ACC slot and bam the presets and clock stay. Problem is, no key in the ignition door open and all yet the clock stays lit up and active. I know this will kill the battery. The blue/white/grey main plugs don't change anything but if I remove the plug on the other end with I want to say a yellow and red wires it cuts the clock off, until I turn the car on but the problem is the presets are gone again. Any help? I looked it up and no wires have been messed with.

Re: DELCO Clock Stays On
Its a bad transistor on the main board. This is somewhat of a common problem I see with radios that I repair. I usually change them out as a precaution.

You will need a NTE232 Transistor. You will probably have to order it online, unless you have a local electronics supply store near you. I doubt radio shack will have it in stock. They are worthless anymore.
If its beyond your repair level or something you don't want to get into, let me know.

Thanks for the feedback. I will keep you in mind when I go to get this fixed. I appreciate the offer. Keeping the unit, but need to pull the motor for a rod knock so it will need a rebuild first.
