1982 trans am speaker siZe
anyone know the speaker sie for 1982 trans am? the speakers in front door panels are missing and not sure what sie they take.

As far as I know, there never were speakers in the doors of the '82-'92 cars from the factory. That's not to say someone didn't add them though.

The speaker sizes were 2 4x6 speakers in the dash and 2 6x9 speakers in the sail panels (one each side). They do make aftermarket kits to put speakers in the doors. Alot of people just make it so that the speaker grills just attach to the door panel thus holding the speaker in place. A alternative to putting speakers in the doors would be to add speakers to the kick panels. In the later cars, there was a bose system that added speakers to the kick panels. I would try to find a set of those.
