MDF sub box question?
in sub boxes of my past projects and builds, ive always used 3/4 MDF board for my builds.
can or has anyone used 1/2 inch mdf board for a sub box? any pros, cons?
the reason i ask,is i need to build 2 boxes, for a couple of cars, and i have a good , well great supply of free 1/2 board at the moment, and would go this route if it would hold up.
but everywhere i look, everyone always uses 3/4. just wonering if 1/2 would hold up?
anyone want to chime in on this?
also, the box would see maybe 300 watts, 500 max.

Re: MDF sub box question?
It would flex easier than 3/4"s....
If you go that route, use braces inside the box to make it sturdier...
I'm guessing a ported box would be easier on a box than sealed...
