Found this In-home Subwoofer So....

While walking my dog in the parking lot this morning I found this subwoofer outside a storage unit. I'm contemplating completely leaving out my back seats in my 82 T/A and putting in a speaker box (2x15s and 1 10"). I worry about putting the box under the hatch with the speakers under the glass because I fear the bass would bust the glass (please tell me I'm wrong, it would save a lot of $$ if I am).

This box I found has a busted sub on the bottom, so that's out, BUT Im wondering what this metal box is on the back of it. If it's useful I'm sure I could modify it for use in my car if it's purpose is worthwhile. What is its function? Is it usable or should I just scrap it?

Looks like the subwoofer power amp - scrap it - it runs on 120v AC power and your car requires 12v DC.

Get a pair of bookshelf speakers and set up a good sound system in your garage instead. I've done that and it helps me with plowing through work on my car.
