whats better?
Well, I know I'm going to get flamed for this because I know how much you all like JL, but I'm going to have to go with the Infinities. I have 2 12s myself and I really like them. I have never heard the JLs before so I can't speek for that side.

I've used a few different brand of sub's and I live by JL's now they hit so friggin hard. I'm running 2 10's in my car and its awesome. if your going with 12's, my buddy has 2 12w3's and I can't sit in his car.

Ok you are all going to think Im crazy unless you'v heard the run but..... screw the 2 subs, put the money together and buy 1 Ground Zero Engineering Nuclear Series, it will pound harder than anything you have ever heard, but they are made to be run at really high powers. Just my 2 cents...but out of your two choices I think they are both equal but the infinities look better so go with them

Sound System: Pioneer Head Unit, 2 Ground Zero 12" Nuclear Series Subs, Rockford Fosgate wiring, Crappy Amp untill July
Work to be done in July: New Engine (383 or bigger) New worked 700R4, power Sunroof, Trans Am Body Kit, Ram Air II hood, Rims, Tires, 1.5" lowering springs, and re-done interior...I want yellow and black but the 4th gen conversions look tempting, oh yeah painting it Yellow also

Infinity goes louder, and JL has a better rep. this is straight from the research i have done on the types of subs. i prefer Eclipse.
i would probably go with JLs before infinity. i have heard alot of good things about them, they are way cheaper, and i was impressed every time i have heard them in the store demos. not as impressed as eclipse but thats my fave

bone stock sloth of an engine LG4
T-5 tranny. thank god, i couldnt stand an LG4 auto.
Plans for an LT-1 or LT-4,
also plans for dual flowmaster exaust.
Got a corvette when i was 16, paid for it myself, screwed the engine up (idiot light didnt work, and i trusted the guy when he said he just changed the oil), and it turned into a project car.
now my TA is my daily driver. not a bad one, but it needs to be faster.

As long as you build the proper enclosure and have a high quality amplifier with at least 200Watts RMS. There is no way to go wrong with either brand. JL's tend to be more affordable so I would recommend them for the biggest bang for the buck. If you are after the best of quality, its going to be a toss up between a JL 12W6 and an Infinity Perfect 12. The Infinity is cooler looking and utilized better technology, but on the other hand JL engineers know how to make a good sounding sub.
