I bought a cd player for my car,it currently has nothing justa big hole with wires sticking out,My friend was going to hook it up for me and he says Im in trouble...The wires that come oout of the console are loose..he said they need to have like a little black box to go into so i can plug my radio into it...I went to autozone and they said i should go to a junklyard to get the part...I called one and they said most of ther policies are if u have to cut it u have tio buy the whole car......so what do i do from here?

if you realllly want to, you can get the color readout for the wires and connect the deck's harness directly to the wires. however, most of us dont like doing that because it makes changing the headunit a PITA.

My car hasnt had the "black box" harness in it since i bought it from the previous owner. If you fgo to pep boys and get the hayens or chiltons, the specific wires colors are in the elcetrical diagram, and then you just wire it directly to the deck. Itll just take an extra fifteen minutes....

 

is hard wiring really that easy i heard it hard,and is a pain if u need to replace stereo in future?
