Just wanted a lil bump in the Z . Bought that Wal-Mart 10" sub with amp. Suggestions on how to install cords so it looks like cords aren't there. Stock looking. Thanx

 

Where are you mounting it?

In my 4th gen (which are very similar to 3rd gens in a lot of ways) I had a sub mounted strapped to the back of the rear seat so I could remove it quickly when I went to the track. for wiring it had a "Monsoon" sound system that had a sub amp mounted in the spare tire well, so it was a simple thing to get the power and signal from there I ran it inside the plastic trim over the rear wheel well and had a pigtail coming out right next to the sub with a trailer harness that allowed me to plug/unplug it in 2 seconds. A little bit of wire looming and you didn't notice it. If it bothered you when it was unplugged you could just tuck the harness down behind the back of the back seat.

On a 3rd gen it would be easiest to run the power under the rocker trim pannel to the same area. You could get line level signal from the rear speakers or you can run RCA's under the other rocker trim.

In my case my car had factory subs/amp and I mounted an aftermarket amp in the factory amp location and 2 8" subs in the factory locations, and then used the factory speaker harness to power them. The only thing I had to run once I made adaptors for everything is a larger guage power wire from the battery and a matching ground.

 

Yes that's what I did. Rand the power the rca's nd the remote wire under carpet and down rocker panel. Thanx. Now she sounds good on inside and out.

 

Hopefully you didn't run them all side by side because that's a great way to introduce electrical noise into your sound system. I have my power and remote wire ran down the passenger side door and the RCA ran down the center under the carpet.
