89 IROC Radio Options
89 IROC Radio Options
Does anyone make a large face radio that bolts in where the stock radio fits now without cutting or modifying the bezel? I can put a single in but I don't like the look of all the extra space. Does anyone make a double that just fits in the existing radio opening?
My car also has the optional Bose system. I know I need to swap out the speakers but can I use the wire that's already in the car or do I need to pull new speaker wires?
thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, factory is 1.5 DIN, not double. ....people have modded to FIT a double, but it's not a factory fit. Someone feel free to chime in on that and confirm.

There are a couple of threads in this sub-fourm about installing them with new trim plates that are "printed" (additive manufacturing) parts.

Here you go.....this is a direct fit replacement (no cutting or fillers required) and have modern day conveniences.....
