Side Panels Raddling!
i just tried took the metal plates out and wrapped the edges in electrical tape to see if this would stop the rattling. well it calmed down a little, but it's still there, so im not sure thats exactly the problem. maybe i need to insulate it with something foam, such as double edged tape...i will try that next. and you will also have some rattling with wood there too, the point is that you need something soft to insulate the edges around that mounting plate (the metal one, or a wooden one you might make) to stop the vibrations. also look at the vents when you open up the doors, those rattle too and i took mine out for the time being. Im also suspectiong the rattles coming from the metal clips on the back of the fabric/cardboard cover that you have to remove to access the 6x9's....also check the rest of the panels in the back of the car, they're all prone to rattle because where they join, its just 2 pieces of plastic sitting on top of each other.
