I did a search here and found three spots for power antenna disconnect. The passenger side kick panel, underside of passenger side dash and behind map pocket on driver side. Where would it be for my 1988 Camaro? The power antenna just keeps running and I just want to unplug the motor. Any help and/or pictures of what I should be looking for and where would be appreciated. Thank you for your help!

I know where it is on the my 88’ GTA, just remove that panel above the passenger side hush panel and your connector for the power motor should be there near the relay, the wires going in should be green, white and I want to say grey IIRC, just unplug it there and you should be all set. You can also pull the passenger side lock panel and trace the 3 wires too.Originally Posted by SwampRat

If your power antenna is broken the Crown brand one for 80’s and 90s Cherokees works great, all you need to do is 180 the mast and it’s identical and works good. If you do a search the part number will pop up. It’s pretty easy to swap them out.
Thank you! :^)
Well, there was no way to get my hand in there to disconnect the wire. I'm assuming that the wires plug in to the junction box affixed to the inside of the outer dash panel. I'll use a bluetooth boombox until I figure something else out. What other ways, if any, could I disconnect this power antenna? Thanks for any advice you can provide.

I am not as familiar with Camaro interior but there should be a way to get that panel off for easy access, on the Firebird it is really easy.Originally Posted by SwampRat

Mine failed on the last outing of the fall, as I was shutting it off in the garage...the literal end of the cruising season. As the car would have to sit until spring to be repaired, I just pulled the applicable fuse.
That may not work for you if you are still driving the car until it's fixed. Depends on what else shares that fuse I guess.
