Re: Does anyone make subwoofer boxes for the trunk well area anymore?
if you google "82 camaro subwoofer box" there are quite a few places where you can buy a pre-manufactured box specifically made the fit in the rear well.

[QUOTE=Swapper;6481439]i was thinking of getting this and try to fit it in the spare tire area.

Given the tight area on the passenger rear area, I think you might struggls to get that kit to work. Below is a link to the hidden sub and amp install I did last year. I hadto cut the slare tire mounting bracket for it to fit. Best pics of sub construction in post #2.

Does anyone use the "factory" subwoofer boxes anymore? You know, the ones that slide into the B-Pillar locations? They won't give you earth-shattering sounds, but there are some very decent "subwoofers" that can and will fit into that mid-range speaker size. I have a couple of those in my attic that I saved from a "Performance Sound" optioned car in the junkyard years ago.

Placement and displacement ruin the a pillars for speaker/subwoofer install.
Skar Audio has a single 8” sub prefab that fits in the “real” trunk, don’t buy it from the link, it’s available elsewhere for much less.
