Hi all,
When I bought my car, it didn’t have a radio, so I have no idea what it’s supposed to look like. I finally got an OE Delco radio with the yellow print for my 91Z. Just installed it tonight, and while the yellow print looks good and matching with lights off, when on it’s greenish and doesn’t look to match when the lights are on. Were the wrong bulbs used when rebuilt, or is this how it’s supposed to look when lit?
If you have a photo of yours lit, please share for reference.
The radio uses the same white bulbs that every radio of the era used. The yellow color is caused by the coloring of the text on the faceplate itself. It appears that some used the wrong bulbs in the radio.

John, I imagine the radio lit up should looks like the rest of the dash (a less harsh white/yellow light instead of the brighter green), right? Or is it noticeably different stock in some way?
Looks like somebody replaced the original incandescent bulbs with "white" LEDs-blue cast of the LEDs will appear green filtered through the yellow lettering.
