'91 Z28 with factory CD player question...
The factory CD player in my Uncle's newly purchased '91 Z28 is displaying "Inop" when I attempt to unlock the (Delco-Loc II) system.
According to the service manual, to unlock a secured CD radio you need to turn the ignition on, press SET until OOO appears on the display and then continue with the steps outlined in the manual to unlock the radio.
However, when I press the SET the letters "InOp" appears on the display preventing me from going to the next step in the procedure.
I assume "InOp" means inoperable (sp?). What would cause this? Does something inside the radio need to be replaced/fixed to get it to work gain?
BTW, the radio is the factory original with all wiring intact and unmolested.
