whats that extra connector with 2 wires coming out of my dash next to my radio harness. its got like a plug in for lieek 12 small pins with the 2 wires what is it used for?

don't have a clue but i do have an extra plug too.
one orange wire one yellow. funny thing is that everything is hooked up corectly in my car. but it is sitting next to the radio harness looks to go back toward the shifter. and it has two contact terminals.

Anyone have clue?
my car is 83 with no: power seats, windows, locks and no air bag.

 

the only thing I saw it in was like a buick cd player on ebay and the HU and cd player were seperate and it plugged into the back of one of them. any one else know?

 

sure its not the dimmer and illumination, or whatnot ... im trying to think here but its late and i did 4 hours of engineering homework so my brain is about to fart.
Im thinking illumination, power antennae, steering wheel controls (which baseline firebirds dont have of course .. duh me). So its a wire hanging out in the back of your dash? Try to put a pic of it here, or trace it and see where it leads too. Ill reply when im in a answering state of mind.
