Help with speaker/amp resistance question

I need to know if it's alright to run a four channel amp with two of the speakers at 2ohms and the other two at 4ohms. Will this fry the amp, or is it acceptable? I'm running last year's model Clarion Pro Audio 5/4/3 chnnl amp that should be 2ohm stable. I just don't know the consequences of using speakers with different resistances. Thanks.

You're not bridging any channels, and the amp should be stable at 2 ohm stereo ... I don't see why there should be any problem. The amp should be able to handle this configuration.

You won't have any problems with running different impedence speakers off seperate channels of the amp. You will have to adjust the gains to balance the output, as the 2-Ohm speakers will get more power than the 4-Ohm ones. But the amp will handle a 2-Ohm load with no problem. Hope this helps a little!
