ok i had one of my friends put a kenwood cd player into my 86 camaro but it kept cutting out so i put my factory cd player in but when i get it all hooked up the time will come on for like 10 seconds (only the time no music) then it will fade out..... i don't know whats wrong with my car is it the wiring?????

 

I would suggest testing all the factory wiring if u have access to test them.

If its not a camaro or corvette then what is it really?

 

there are only a few things that are important when hooking up a deck.

-power
-ground
-acc. (ignition)
-and live wire (12v always)

check all and you should be good.
