I'm pretty sure any brand name like "Crunch", "Boom", "Thump", or "Smash" is pretty much lame.

Yeah, gotta agree with Rezn8r. Don't expect to get 250 watts RMS out of that amp, let alone 250x2.

There have been a bunch of threads that talk about RMS as opposed to maximum wattage. Your best bet would be to do a search and look some of them up. The jist of it is that with amps, you usually get what you pay for.

I believe I've seen those at Walmart before. Buying cheap amps gets you nowhere. Even if it can put out the power it says it can, the quality of the signal will be so poor, you won't be able to turn the gain up very far, or you'll blow your subs. A quality amp such as Kicker, Rockford Fosgate, or Eclipse which is only rated at 50 watts per channel would probably blow that one out of the water.

I MUST STATE TO THE INDIVIDUAL A FEW LISTINGS BELOW HAS NO IDEA OF WHAT HE/SHE IS TALKING ABOUT BY STATING IF A AMP THAT SAYS CRUNCH, BOOM ETC., MUST BE LAME... CRUNCH IS A NAME BRAND FROM THE EARLY 80'S AND IS FROM THE SAME COMPANY CALLED MAXXSONICS: THEY HAVE CREATED HIFONICS, MB QUARTS AND AUTOTEX..http://www.maxxsonics.com/index1.htmlTHIS IS AMAZING COMPANY WITH TRUE RMS SPECS...NOT LIKE ROCKFORD AND KICKER MASS BULK BUILDER AND IF YOU BOUGHT TWO OF THE EXAT SAME AMPLIFERS ONE WOULD BE LOUDER THAN THE OTHER OR THERE BIRTH SHEETS HAVE DIFFERENT WATTAGE NUMBERS THAT ARE OFF OR NOT THE SAME. ANOTHER EXAMPLE: KICKER STATES IT HAS A MONO AMPLIFER AND THE DO NOT TRULEY SELL A REAL 1 OHM SINGLE TRUE AMPLIFIER... HMMM.I HAVE BEEN IN CAR AUDIO FOR OF 20 PLUS YEARS...THIS CRUNCH AM IS A TRUE 250 WATTS RMS X 2 500 WATTS RMS X 2 1000 WATTS RMS X 1A LEAST EXSPENSIVE AMP BY COST BECAUSE NOT ALL PEOPLE CAN ATTEMPT TO PAY $800 TO $1300 FOR ONE AMP...THIS IS A REAL TRUE PRODUCT
