choice of subs..

there are sales in Crutchfield and local stereo shops and i was wondering what is the best buy out of the 12" Polk Audio GNX (buy one get one free at $160), 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch Z (2 for $130), 12" JBL GT's ($70 each), or the 12" Kenwood Tornado (buy on get one free at $130). The Polks are rated at 400w peak power, the Fosgates are rated at 200w, the JBL's are rated at 1,200w and the Kenwoods are rated 700w.

i'd say stay away from the $70/pair, dont think too highly of the tornados (kenwood makes good headunits, not speakers/subs). stick with the polks or rfs. btw, do you really need 2 subs? one nice sub can pound as hard or harder than 2 cheap ones. i noticed a huge difference between my previous pair of JBL loud and clear 12s and my single alpine type-r. then, if you think you need another one, you can get another good sub later down the road. quality my friend, not quantity. just my $.02

dood have you ever heard those silver kenwood tornadoes hooked up to a 600 watt kenwood amp? those suckers rocked my F**king sox off! but he's right about quality not quanity. and i have a friend who has those z's and there nice man but i wouldnt recomend them, i say if you looking to spend about 130-150 on a good hard hittin bass sound system then invest in a 10 inch bazooka selfpowerd tube. bazooka makes relly good stuff today in the mail i received a bazooka 450-watt triangle sub and i just stuck it in a box and then turned it up to just check it out and it was bad ***, but i mean if you want a awesome sytem then buy yourself 2 fosgate HE2's for like 180 a pair on ebay and then buy a 200 watt fosgate amp to go along with it and dood its gonna be a damn nice sound system.

I had the RF Punch Z subs... 2 12's... then I took 'em back after a while and got 1 RF Punch HE 12... couldn't be happier... Get one GOOD sub with a nice amp and you'll be happier than if u had 2 of those subs and the same amp. ** I have the RF Punch HE 12" on my RF Punch 100.2 Amp **
