ticking from m/c solonoid

there is a ticking coming from my m/c solonoid,It has done it with 3 diff.carbs so im convinced its the computer or something else.the car runs perfect, but my original c/c quadrajet didnt do this or not as loud.I know its coming from the m/c because when i unhook it it stops.I also know someone else had this problem but cant find the post.Could it be a bad wire?and how is the car running so good if there is a problem? No codes.

There was something wrong with your original carb, not the three that have followed. It should tick, and some are louder than others. If the engine isn't running, the ticking should stop about 15-30 seconds after the ignition switch is turned on.
