What is a good way to cut braided hose?

The company I can get it from will not cut it and only sells it in pre-cut lengths....

 

Wrap it TIGHT with several layers of filiament tape, then use a high-speed cut-off wheel.

 

Put it in a vice, wrap the area to be cut tight with electrical tape, and use a hacksaw. What Aperion said will work great too.

If you have a wooden dowel that fits in the hose it helps a lot to prevent tearout. I've heard you can use two hack saw blades back to back set up in opposite directions.
