accelerator pump question (holley)

i have been playing with the primary pump on my 750DP. i have the black cam in position 2.the strange thing i notice is that is seems like the pump arm only moves about 50 percent of its total travel room. is this normal or not? i have tried different colored cams with the same luck. i recently upgraded to a 50cc pump because i could not get enough of a shot with the stock pump.

thanks for any help
Brian

Have you tried the yellow cam for a 50cc pump?
