rods and hangers question inside

Car: 82 Berlinetta/57 Bel Air
Engine: L92/LQ4 (both w/4" stroke)
Transmission: 4L80E/4L80E
Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
The rods sound too rich and the hanger too lean.
Try DR rods, maybe a G hanger.
Really, though, this is a tuning question that can't be answered accurately without reading plugs after a run. For reference, I'm running CK rods in my 396, and it's a heavy breather. But, I'm at altitude - back to the first sentence in this paragraph.
