differences between LG4 and L69

i was wondering what the difference between the LG4 and the L69 was, as in, what did they do to gain the extra 40 hp out of the HO carbed version vs. the LG4.

This belongs on the Tech/General Engine board but here's the lowdown:

-Different metering rods in the carb
-Corvette camshaft

That's what was changed to the engine. Really its the camshaft that makes the big power. A few other things that were changed that could make power increases:

-Larger monolith brick Corvette cat converter
-Dual Snorkel intake

Of course, there're a few responses with wrong info, but in summary:

Exhaust
Compression (in '83 & '84 only)
Tuning (timing, secondary calibration)
Air cleaner
