Demon carb sizing under rated?

Transmission: 350turbo
Demon carb sizing under rated?
I heard that BG under rates there carbs and that a 750cfm is actually a 810cfm. Anyone happen to know if this is true or not? I may have gotten more carb than I bargained for.

What I can tell you is this. From what I hear the new demon carb.'s (according to Car Craft) are not to be taken lightly. They're serious carb's. In the September issue they feature a couple of demon carb's and talk about how the Race and King Demon Carburetors have removable sleeves so that there flow can be adjusted. The initial cfm is correct with them, but they have the potential to flow much more. That might be what your friend is talking about....

I'm talking about the speed demon seris with the non adjustable ventruis and i didn't hear it from a friend read it some where in the archeves when I did a search for articles related to demon carbs. Went back and checked again spot a couple of people mentioning it. Think I'll go back to my holley 750 DP till full port my heads, so they could take the extra flow.

Transmission: TH350 & 700
Axle/Gears: 4:11 & 2.72
406 Put the sd 750 on, They might flow more but not enough to cause problems. I have one on my engine(check my sig) It was calabrated almost perfectly, my plugs were alot closer to brown/tan, the n the holley I took off.
A ? for you now how do you like the Extreme cam, I am thinking of putting that exact cam in my bird this winter.

Thanks for the advice I think I will keep the demon but I'm going to have tho play with the squiter and accel pump cam sizes. Lets out a puff of black when u intialy go to wot. As for the cam I love it. When I had the engine orginal bulit the shop dyno'd it at 465hp and 520 ft/lbs with only mild work to the exhaust bowls. First time at the track ran a 13.2 with a 2.6 60 foot time(at the time open diff with slicks) after that the tranny started slipping bad and could only manage a 13.6.
