Confused myself during Rebuild

I'm rebuilding a holley 650 DP. I confused myself a little bit tho. What side of the carb does the power valve belong on. The side with the choke or the side without it. Also which side does the leaner jets go on? Thanks.

I'm very new to carbs and holleys in general but I DO know the power valve goes on the "primary" side of the carb and generally the leaner jets go on the "secondary" part of the carb. The primary being "the side with the choke on". I'm surprised you've never heard of these terms... I wouldnt even try a carb rebuild w/out a book if I were you.

The leaner (numerically lower) jets go in the primary side also.

The lower numbered jets go on the primary side of the carb. I beleive this to be true in all cases with typical Holley performance replacement carbs (4bbls). Some factory applications might have it the other way around, but not the universal replacement stuff.
