Holley Advenger
Holley Advenger
I was just wondering what people who have this carb, thought of it. I have a 670 CFM version, and I hate to say it, but Holley missed the QC mark big time. Maybe mine was assembled on Friday at 4:59, but I now have to ship it back to them. The shaft for the secondaries has a TON of play in it and it wrecks hell with the idle.

I've never really heard anyone say anything especially good about the avenger yet...but thats the first time I've heard that.
BTW...no offense but I just had to say I HATE Stuart. I had to go to court there once...they had some of the most crooked cops and judge I've ever seen in action.

I like it and its alot better than the 600cfm that was on my car before it also seems to have more power than the 650 Dp I used at the track.

If you buy a "regular" Holley and then switch out the metering plate for a metering block and istall a quick change spring kit you basically have the same thing and it will cost you less.

Only problem I had with my 670 was the choke horn was bent up a bit and it caused the choke plate to hang up. Little bit of sanding took care of that and it's worked great since. Here's my reason for buying a overpriced carb.. I didn't want to have to deal with buying all the other extra parts to make it into what I have out of the box.
I know what you mean about Stuart cops and judges! LOL No offense taken...
I just spoke with Holley and they want me to ship it back. Fat chance, car runs like hell without it! My friend works at an Autozone and they carry the same carb. They will swap it out for me....
