Smokin carb

On my rebuilt L69, when I shut it off I notice a thin white smoke comeing out of the carb for about a min after... Could timing cause this?

It's normal. The fuel that's left in the intake manifold is vaporized and slowly drifts up out the top of the carb for up to several minutes after shut-down. Don't let it bother you.
