I was looking into the holley quad repl. carb for our carbd cars. It's supposed to be a direct repl. and supposed to be better than stock. From summit racing the price is 299.95 and the part number is HLY-0-80555C. Anyone have one or know anyone who has one... worth it???

 

A few things you need to know about that carb:
1) The fine print, such as: "Emissions - Not legal for sale or use in California on any pollution controlled motor vehicles." You may not live in California, but the "pollution controlled motor vehicles" part still applies to you.
2) It's not computer controlled, so it is definately not a "direct replacement".
3) There's no such thing as a bolt on.
4) I've yet to meet someone with one of those carbs that was happy with it. It was not one of Holley's better efforts.

You're much better off working with the factory q-jet.
