Street Avenger Problem

I just got my engine together and bolted my Street Avenger 670 down. Problem I'm having is it seems that it wants to stick in WOT. Especially if I plant my foot down hard it will stick there unless I tap the gas again. Any ideas what is causing this problem or how to fix it. The last thing I want is to accelerate and get stuck in WOT in heavy traffic (already happened once). Definitely not a good thing

Put on a return spring.

it has a return spring on it. Even with the spring on it it will still do the same thing.

By chance do you have a drop base air cleaner that might be causing the linkage to bind?
Is your return spring the one that comes on the carb itself or one that you added on? If so, maybe try a heavier spring?

actually it is a drop base air cleaner. I'm baffled though considering it is the same set-up that I was running before without a problem. I'll try a heavier spring and see if that helps any

I had the same type problem with a 670. Turns out the secondary shafts had a ton of play in them from the factory. It would tend to bind now and then. If you ask me the Avenger series is a POS. Holley makes good carbs, but they missed the mark on that series. I took mine off, put a 750 DP on it and the car ran much better and even picked up mileage.
