Jester, please clear this up for me.

Holley 80457S. This carb is a smog carb and lean is mixture screws out, right counter clockwise???

Lean is mixture screws IN. Tthe more you screw it OUT the more gas goes in, therefore the richer it gets.

You're right SSC, those have the mixture screws backwards... they open up an air bleed rather than opening up a fuel passage

Thanks guys, thats what I thought. I hate arguing with people especially older people that think what was the standard 30 years ago is the same today.
