carb w/ roller engine
carb w/ roller engine
I am currently building a 350 bored .30 and it is a roller engine. I was going to go with the comp cams xr276hr hydraulic roller cam. The engine was originally a tbi setup, but I will be using my rochester carb instead. Does anyone know if this cam have the provisions to work with a mechanical fuel pump or will I have to switch to a electric fuel pump? Are there any cams like this one that will work with this motor and a mechanical fuel pump? Thanks for any help you can give because I am just about out of ideas

Yes. My XR282HR has it as well, and also my XM264HR-12. AFAIK Comp has enough sense to use blanks that have it for everything, since they are aware that quite alot of people using performance roller cams are running carbs.
Thanks alot for the replies, I just wanted to make sure I was heading in the right direction for this setup. Trying to get 400hp out of a 355. What heads did you guys use with your cams?
