DG Rods Too Big???
I own an 84 TA LG4. I'm switching to a 92 L98 350 (work in progress), and I'm keeping the Q-jet. When I went to get new rods (DA) and Hangers ("B") from CARBS UNLIMITED, they had the hangers, but the rods were on back order. They recently called me and said that the DA rods are far from coming in
, and suggested I get the next size (DG).
What I am wondering is... are DG rods too big for my application:
92 L98 350 with Edlebrock TES headers and Edlebrock Performer intake w/EGR. Edlebrock cat-back system coming soon.
I know the secondaries only open at WOT, and that is something I won't be using that often (especially when I'm still running the 84 700R4 and rear end). I also know running rich is better than running lean, but I don't want it to be too rich (obviously).
Thanks for any and all help.

They are similar on the low end, but the DG's will give you more fuel on the higher rpm.
The secondaries don't just open at WOT - that's why they are tapered to give you more or less fuel at a certain amount of lift. The DG's are smaller at the tip which would give you more fuel. Look at the cam action that the hanger bolt on.
Let us know how they run (rich or lean)
