FInally got it installed....
i just finished installin the Edelbrock 600cfm carb with electric choke. andi have to say it was pretty easy installin it for my first carb swap alone. and the few things i had to adjust was the return spring, air/fuel ratio (was running alittle too rich(black smoke)), and had to hook the line for the brake booster up. man that was scary. i figured i could just plug the hole on the carb and be fine but no. when i was backin up i pushed on the brakes and was like WTF. and i was glad i was only goin like 2 mph. but after that hooked up everything was good.
the only problem im having right now is the choke light is not shutting off. im goin to read the manule and see what it says and also im goin to get my brother to help me with that part.
but the new carb gave me lot more throttle responce and i can rev the engine quicker and its a lot easier to tune then a q-jet.
also if anyone could think of why my choke light is stayin on let me hear ur idea's.

The choke light will come on if you don't have the original wire hooked up to the electric choke element. If your Holley comes with an electric choke hook the original wire up to one of the terminals on the Holley choke element and the other to a ground (doesn't matter which wire). Light should go out. If you don't have an electric choke on your Holley maybe you could convert it over to electric choke (they make a kit). If not, measure the resistance of the original QJet choke element between the connector and the body of the carb, buy a resistor from Radio Shack of the same Ohms and put it in-line between the choke wire and a ground.
