My car is running really bad, I have no power at all. I accelerate and there is no pull and I have to reall really gradually press the accelerator or it seems as if my engine chokes or the gas just shuts off. I know I have an 82 T/A with a carbed 305, but I know it has more power than that. I'm not sure what it could be but I thought it might be my carb and one of you guys can help me out. It also recently started to diesel when I shut it off...that most likely is the timing though, right? Well any help would be appreciated to diagnose my problem and then some tips on fixing it if possible. Thanks

When was the last time you did a tune-up?

 

mine did the same thing it is the carb, thats causeing it, something with the choke, bring it to a carb shop see if it just need adjusting. but when my car started doing that 2 week later i had to get it rebuilt. carb problem r hell trust me i know, im haveing problems with mine too.
