Throttle Return Spring

I need help. I am not sure if my Throttle Return spring on my carb is on right. When hitting the gass pedal it is very tight but if you go full throttle it doesn't feel like full maybe a little more than 3/4. I think i picture would help me better to see how it is attached any help would be great. The carb on the car right now is an edlebrock 650cfm. Thanks.

The return spring is just to close the butterflies when you let your foot off the pedal. It's not fun when it doesn't do that, trust me! But I'd get under the hood and with the motor off, open the throttle all the way and look and feel as you are doing it for any binding. I just recently found that my kickdown cable for my th-350 wasn't letting my carb open up all the way and made the pedal very hard to move. But now that I got that adjusted, it's much better.
