fuel coming out of float adjusting nut

Transmission: NV3550
Axle/Gears: Dana 44s with 4.10 and air lockers
fuel coming out of float adjusting nut

i went to go check the floats on my holley 4150, and when i loosened the lock screw, fuel started pouring out of it. that isn't normal, is it?

Normal. Just loosen it enough to be able to turn the adjusting screw to minimize the leakage.

Right, there's fuel pressure behind that nut, if you loosen it too much it will spurt all out of there.
