Hard to start when cold?

Hard to start when cold?
I just bought an 86 TA with an LG4 i think it has an m4me it doesn't plug in so i figure its not CC. It's hard to start when it sits for a little while, I was guessing its the choke but then again I;m not the carb guru, what do you guys think it is? If you need anymore info let me know. Oh its a new(well, reman) carb.

Axle/Gears: yes, both
try 5 pumps on the gas, that should prime it enough to start the second you touch the key.
