Its a Holley, the list number is 6210-3

I looked it up and it came up as a 650 cfm Model 4165 carb. Is this a double pumper? Will a proform mainbody work in this carb? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Seth

the 6210s are kinda funky. They're technically a double pumper but alot of the parts don't interchange with anything else. including the main body.

It's a 650 CFM manual secondary double-pumper, but it's a spreadbore. It was originally designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for Q-Jets in the late 60s on 327, 396 and 427 motors; -3 is the current version I think.

I personally rather like that carb, I've had alot of cars over the years that have run real good with them, and gotten as good gas mileage as a Q-Jet would have (or better). I ran its big brother 6211 (800 CFM) on a 400 in my 83 for many years, with excellent results.

They're a great carb on a mild engine of almost any size for street use. They may not give quite as much power as a square carb, but they are much more driveable and get far better gas mileage than square carbs usually do.

The Proform main body will not work; being a spreadbore it has numerous internal differences from square carbs, including (duh) the main body.

Thanks for the help guys! So, what should I do to this carb before I throw it back on? It was on a Nova with a 327 that ran 12.6's before so I am sure its got some performance in it

I was thinking of taking it somewhere to have them rebuild it. Also, is it possible to refinish the outside of a carb, because this carb has seen better days lol. Thanks,

Seth

Just rebuild it yourself. It's not rocket science, it's just a Holley carb.

You can take it to a plating place after it's cleaned up, and see what they can do. I believe they can sort of restore the original gold-like color without too much trouble.
