PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE COTM NOMINATION RULES BEFORE PROCEEDING TO NOMINATE A MEMBER’S RIDE FOR COTM. REMEMBER, WE MUST PROTECT THE INTEGRITY OF THE CONTEST SO THAT THE MOST DESERVING MEMBER WINS.
This thread is a Nomination Thread to nominate cars that will compete for this month's Car of the Month honor. The 10 (or less) most popularly nominated cars will be compiled into a *Voting Thread* in a couple of weeks. If you do not nominate a member's car for COTM, you can still second or third (fourth, fifth, so on) someone else's nomination. Cars must have at least a second nomination in order to make the Voting Thread.
Do not nominate your own car. Your car must be nominated by another TGO Member.
Do not ask your wife, husband, friends, extended family, etc. to register as TGO Members for the purpose of nominating your car.
Do not nominate more than one car.
Do not use multiple member accounts to nominate your own car or to nominate multiple cars.
This is not a picture thread. Post only one (1) good photo of the car you wish to nominate. Do not use a photo-edited picture.
You must post a picture with your nomination. This must be a full-sized picture (or at the very least, a pic or thumb that enlarges into a full-sized picture when you click on it).
Correctly identify the user name of the member who you nominate.
Correctly identify the year and model/trim of the car you nominate.
Do not nominate cars that are not in a high quality, finished state.
And if you are nominated, please DO go out and take an abundance of good quality photos of your ride (multiple angles, interior, engine) and make them publicly accessible (for example via a photo album in your public profile or some sort of hyperlink to your photo album.)
*****This Month's Criteria*****
Open Season: Any stock or modified Firebird or Camaro that is in a high quality, finished state can be nominated this month.
I went with Open Season again this month because, honestly, TGO Members have done an excellent job so far this year of mixing it up as far as types of cars and build types that have been competing and winning COTM. just looking at this year's winners list, there is some of just about everything. therefore, i saw no reason for me to narrow the criteria this month.
i did almost make it a "Convertibles" month, but i didn't want to risk a low participation rate (as far as the nominating). maybe in the future, preceded by a "show me your convertibles" picture thread.
and i almost excluded "1989 IROCs" from eligibility this month, as three or four of this year's winners have been '89 IROCs.
but alas, it's open season so any high quality Third Gen of any year or make is again eligible. last month was an excellent COTM contest. i hope we have another one this month.

I've been waiting forever for a "convertibles" month! I'm sure there are plenty of members that have some sweet 'verts

Re: October 2015 COTM **Nomination Thread**
You could always come out with a base/RS/sport coupe only criteria to get those evil 89 Z's off the nomination.
I'm serious about the criteria, though.
You could also do a rarer production number year criteria, such as '90 or '92's only and mix it up that way or rarer factory colors only and only include yellows, purples, greens and lighter blue hues.

That's a great idea! It would also give some "uncommon" members a chance, instead of nominating the same members all the time.(like some do)
I actually would like to see a convertible month, a IROC month, a GTA month, a formula month a RS month etc, High milage month low milage month best 5 speed, t-tops only, coupes only.. I would like to see the best in each category which would come with bragging rights. I know I would not win as there are better cars but I think it it would be great for those that do
Well then......I'll nominate Horacioz28iroc's 1987 Z28 IROC ASC Convertible
What a beautiful IROC Convertible!
He has owned this car since he purchased it new in 1987, summer driven with 29,000 original miles, every option available in 1987. Last year of the IROC-Z's to be built at the Original Camaro Plant in Norwood, Ohio.

I would like to nominate Buggy Disasters clean LS Camaro.
that's an excellent nomination.
however, while it appears to be either a '91 or '92Z28, i do need that specific information included with your nomination.
I've seen that GTA and all the rest that guy's car collection. It's the nicest I've ever seen. It's got like no miles on it along with the rest of his cars. it's mind blowing.

that is a really interesting idea. too late for this year, but maybe something like that next year...just to shake things up.
also, just want to point out to everyone that while i didn't make this a "convertibles only" month, anybody can still nominate any COTM-Ready convertible this month.
