new high flow carb... bogging?

i just put a ported and flowed q-jet carb that has about 100cfm of flow, and now when im cruising at low RPM's my car bogs, as if its getting "surges" of power. I dont think its anything to do with fuel, because i just got a high power pump. And i made a duel snorkle intake to a K+N filter, so i doubt its air. What else would cause my car to do this???

Sounds like either a vacuum leak or too lean a setting for cruise conditions. At low speed, part throttle you are running on both the idle mixture and the primary's low-speed circuit, so check your idle mixture setting and look carefully for vacuum leaks, unplugged vacuum ports etc. They occur easier than you may think.

Is your distributor's vacuum advance and initial timing set correctly? Too much advance at part throttle can cause a surge too, but it sounds like you have a lean condition to me.
